Shaman Eyes

Last weekend a few of us gathered in Sebastopol, California for a one-day taste of the Awakening Soul program starting this fall. As we opened sacred space and were setting intentions for the day, an eagle flew overhead calling as it went.
Ordinarily this would be an unusual bird sighting for the area according to the locals present. However, when the land and time has been honored and prayers are offered in this shamanic tradition, eagles and other animal sightings are not unusual or unexpected.
In this tradition, an aspect of Spirit shows up in the form of a winged one, often an eagle or condor.
I used to treat an experience such as this with skepticism. Now I accept it as a way life is when living with awareness of an animated or alive Universe filled with invitations for reciprocity.
I recommend the book Walking In the Light by Sandra Ingerman. She writes about everyday encounters with the living environment that become the norm when wearing eyes awakened by indigenous philosophy and direct experience of synchronicities walking in nature.
There are those who say that when meaningful coincidences or synchronicities show up, they let you know you are on the right path.
Let me know if you are feeling curious, drawn to, or even magnetized towards a path of learning more about your connection to the living Universe and your purpose in it.
It could lead you towards feeling more of a healing connection to your higher self, others you are in relationship with, nature, and Great Spirit.
It would lead you to a path towards higher consciousness and developing “shaman” eyes and other senses to notice synchronicities and channel energy towards visioning and actualizing a more connective, balanced and energetically healthy world.
